What to Expect

Week 3 looks a little different.

Instead of an open portrait session, I'll be out in the field - photographing the people and places that have been quietly holding this neighborhood together long before this residency existed. The Emeryville Senior Center. ECAP. Big Daddy's Complete Rejuvenating Community Garden. People who show up every week to teach, grow, gather, and care for each other without any fanfare.

This week isn't about being in front of my camera. It's about making sure these people and these spaces get the same care and attention this project gives everyone else.

The gallery will be open with someone on hand if you want to stop by, see the space, and learn more about the project. The portraits from this week will be displayed alongside everything else at the closing celebration in Week 7. Portrait sessions resume next week.
